Our Lay By Terms And Conditions

Deposit Amount

The minimum initial deposit amount is 20% of the sale item. Example sale price is $100.00, the Deposit amount will be $20.00.

Period

All Lay-By agreements run for a maximum period of 16 weeks (4 months). If the customer fails to maintain the instalments agreed by that period, the company reserves the right to cancel the agreement and issue a store credit for any deposits made on the lay-by. The items will be placed back out on display and for sale and a restocking fee will be charged. For larger purchases over $2,000, a longer period can be given if agreed on by staff and customer. Payments may be made through our store or via telephone. We accept all major credit cards, cash and bank transfer are available upon request.

Collection of Goods and Storage

No goods can be taken prior to all payments being received. Collection of goods will only be allowed with a copy of the valid Lay-By document; please ensure you retain your copy of the agreement. If longer storage of goods is needed it can be given if agreed on by staff and customer. If you require more time, please contact us 2 weeks prior to the agreed time.

Customer Cancellation of Lay-By Agreement

You are entitled to cancel your Lay-By agreement at any time prior to the collection of the goods. All funds paid; less applicable fees will be reimbursed to you with a store credit.

Company Cancellation of Lay-By Agreement

The company may cancel the Lay-By agreement if the customer fails to meet the payment schedule and applicable termination fees will apply where the customer has failed to comply with the agreement. The company also reserves the right to terminate the agreement if they are unable to supply the item, the goods have been deemed to be faulty or they cease to trade.

Termination Fees

Companies are entitled to charge a reasonable termination fee for cancellation of Lay-By agreements. The relisting amount applicable to your agreement is $25.00 plus 10% of the original sale amount.
